Features Review:
A guest review that offers a balanced perspective on staying at Travelodge Preston Central, highlighting both the positives and areas that could be improved:
Good points: It’s a Travelodge, with all the facilites you would expect from a newer one.
Good clean room – except the usual Travelodge complaint of not enough sockets. Good bed, bathroom, etc
Shame it wasn’t air-conditioned as our room faced west, and someone left the heating on at 30C. The windows can’t be opened that wide, and there’s plenty of noise from outside all night.
Car parking is rather strange – it’s on the lower floors of this former mill, so there are numerous iron pillars to avoid (and there’s a £3 charge). Shame that Travelodge didn’t incorporate the historical features into the hotel itself, but hid them away.
The area itself (and some other hotel residents) weren’t the most salubrious, but we had no problems.
In short, one of those Travelodges I wouldn’t rush back to, but if I was in the area again, I’d be happy to use it.
